Made in L.A. Denim

LA in the early ‘90s - think rollerblades, elevated casual dining, and just the right amount of saxophone. Our denim factory was just getting started, taking raw materials and turning them into classic American jeans. Denim is more art thanscience, and by working so closely with a factory in our backyard, we can ensure that all of the small parts of the greater whole come together perfectly.

Softie Yarn™

Heritage Italian Mills

Like perfectly aged wine or a slow-simmering sauce, wepartner with our Italian mills not for speed but for work long steeped in tradition. A mix of heritage and innovation, we work with both a second-generation family mill and a mill with a focus on sustainability. It may not be the fastest way to do it, but allthat time and care results in some of the most robust and dimensional fabrics.

Ultraluxe Cashmere

Isn’t all cashmere luxe? Sure, but think of it this way: there’s a scoop of vanilla ice cream from a tub (tasty), and then there’s a scoop of artisan ice cream, the kind with the vanilla flecks, covered in sprinkles, delivered to you as you lounge in your hotel room watching your favorite comfort show. Our cashmere takes some of the best yarn around and knits it so it's soft and sturdy. It feels like an indulgence because it is. It’s a labor-intensive process every step of the way, but the finished product can’t be beat. No gimmicks, no shortcuts, just good stuff made right.

Mediterranean-Milled Textiles

We will go anywhere in the world to find the best textiles,
but it doesn’t hurt when it involves a trip to the coast. Like the mezze spread of our dreams, we work with mills and factories in Portugal, Italy, and Turkey, bringing each company’s specialty product to our designers to create something singular.

Peruvian Pima Cotton

Peruvian Pima cotton fibers are longer than most cotton, which makes them more soft and durable. The Ideal Tee is 100% Peruvian Pima cotton, soft as can be, and has the right thickness. But even in the midst of our high-glamor Dallas fantasies, we can’t help but be practical, so it’s also moisture-wicking, temperature-regulating, and more resistant to snagging than most others. And like the unflappable divas of prime-time soaps, it travels well and lasts forever.

But if you want to wear something crafted as thoughtfully as you put together your outfit, you’re in good hands.

Just because it’s casual doesn’t mean we take it lightly. Our French-made, long-lasting terry makes for elite errand-running clothes. The fish scale design gives the fabric its textured “loopback” look, thanks to the extra curves in the yarn. It’s comfortable and relaxed, won’t get mushy after a day on the couch, and the loopback adds a little something extra. Perfect for a Bodega run to grab some cheese curls to go with the Prosecco you already have on ice.

Our selvedge denim hails from Louisiana, made in the last American denim mill on looms older than most colleges. It makes its way to our factory in LA, which has been refining its process since the ‘90s. It might meet up with a belt made in Pennsylvania. When we say we search the world for the best materials, that includes our backyard.
